  1. This is a port of the msdos/X fractint program.
  2. Ported from Xfractint 2.03 (fractint 18.2) by Terje Pedersen.

  5. V2.1:
  6.   the "save current parameters" didnt work properly, now it does!
  7.   The interfaces are generated dynamically and one type wasn't generated.
  8.   Expect to see some more options on several requesters!

  10.   Color cycling 'from value' wasn't used. It caused some unwanted effect on
  11.   those graphics boards! It is fixed now!
  12.  
  13.   The interface generation is improved somewhat. Now the input boxes is all of
  14.   the same size!
  15.  
  16.   Now using reqtools screenmode requester. The Asl screenmode requster was only
  17.   available from 2.1+. Now this program might actually work with 2.04!

  19.   The HAM mode didnt work on non AGA. It tried to open a 8 bitplane HAM screen.
  20.   It worked on my AGA machine so I missed that one! Now it opens a 6 bitplane
  21.   screen on non AGA's. After having tested the HAM mode I'm not totally 
  22.   satisfied with it. In some cases the colors doesnt come up right after
  23.   having saved it and then viewed it with a giftoham program. To get images
  24.   equal to those on AGA it is best to use a disk video mode. And then use
  25.   a giftoham viewer. When I find some giftoham converter source I may
  26.   add it to the program, saving some extra saving and loading.

  28.   The cycle colors button wasn't very useful. It is replaced by Load and Save
  29.   palette.

  31.   Amigaguide now pops up if you press the Help buttons or press help-key
  32.   when the fractint screen is active.

  34.   Some fractals runs 30-40% faster!

  36.   The program seems to work ok on some graphics boards, especially those who
  37.   emulates AGA. In order for HAM to work on non AGA machines I added a test
  38.   to check if the machine is aga or not, if it isnt it will open only
  39.   6 bitplane screens or lower. If this causes problems with those graphics
  40.   boards I added a flag 'force' that forces the program to open 8 bitplane
  41.   screens even if the machine isnt AGA. It may or may not work..

  43.   The manual now has a lot of slightly incorrect information since the
  44.   interface is changed to MUI. Some of the "press 'z' to.." isnt likely
  45.   to work!, or may have a different key. The underscored keys in the
  46.   MUI interface are worth trying! Also the autokey features may no longer
  47.   work properly, also as a result of the MUI.

  49.   Some of the links in the guide files were incorrect. Some has been fixed.
  50.   Is there a program to automatically check all the links in a guide? Let
  51.   me know if you know of any!

  53.   I removed the FASTMEM flag so it may actually work on a computer with
  54.   no fastmem. Expect it to be seriously slow though! Lower memory requirement?
  55.     I tried it with 2meg chip and no fast mem running wb2.04 and it worked!
  56.   Horribly slow but it worked! 1meg chip and 1 meg fast might be enough!

  58.   When color cycling (shift,alt,ctrl)-F1-F10 was supposed to give some nice
  59.   color ranges. Now it does! (at least on AGA..)

  64.   If you are not totally and utterly satisfied with the program you may try
  65.   to ask for a refund..

  67. Hint:
  68.   Try out the zoom-box with the page-up and page-down keys. then try
  69.   ctrl + (keypad +) and ctrl - and the zoombox rotates! Great for animations
  70.   with both zooming and rotating!
  71.   also ctrl page-up/down will stretch the zoom box.
  72.   ctrl home/end will shear the box!
  73.   Press 'Help' when using the zoom-box and you will get a list of all the
  74.   options.
